Killer Weekend UPDATE

The copyedit to Killer Weekend has arrived. And today I had my phone interview, a follow-up, with Sheriff Walt Femling, upon whom the book's central character, Sheriff Walt Flemming, is based.
Thankfully all the procedural work passed muster. I haven't dared to look at the copyedit (received last night), but it has to be in the mail by Tuesday, so I'm going to get on it. My publisher gave me five days to complete it -- 3 of which are a holiday weekend -- welcome to publishing!

USB MODEM

Since switching to a Mac I've been looking for USB high speed internet connection (over airwaves). Finally, there is a solution. Basically any laptop lacking a PCI or Expresscard slot can now go on-line from just about anywhere.

KILLER WEEKEND

My next thriller, Killer Weekend, is finished and in production at Putnam, for publication spring/summer 2007. It features Walt Fleming, Blaine County Sheriff in Idaho, and is the first of a new series. The first novel involves a nationally known business conference and a woman politician from NY state announcing her candidacy for president. Discussion?
