Darn! I wish I could be there, but I'll be walking in Springfield (IL)for the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk. Why does everything have to be on the same day?

Just discovered your blog. No rotten eggs from here -- congrats, your honorableness. That can't be the right way to address you, but I am short a protocol officer at the moment...

OH can I come? I need to know where exactly its going to be...and can I bring my copies of the books for you to sign? The last time I had a chance to meet you was at a bookstore in Pasadena years ago. I remember I faked an illness while at work to get off early (teehee) and I drove like a madwoman down the 210 fwy looking for the bookstore and after I found it I couldn't find a parking space!!! Then I finally found one and ran inside the store where you were already in deep discussion with those in attendance, whew, I made it in one piece and remembered to bring a few of my books for you to sign!!! One of the highlights of my life and a treasured memory! Thanks Ridley for being so accomodating that day. I've been waiting for you to come back again... ;-)

Hey Inksmudge- I'm so jealous ! Not just that you got meet Ridley (although that would be cool) but that you live in my old stomping grounds! I grew up near Pasadena, going to the Rose Parade, driving to Newport and hanging out on 15th street. etc. I drove the 210 fwy daily to work until we moved to Memphis in 1991. We miss Calif so much- weather, beach, mountains, food, family. The list goes on... but real estate is so expensive we may never get back, sigh. Well enjoy it, you could be living in Texas!

Pam, nice to meet you. I am a little confused about wheter you live in TN or TX. I've always lived here but lately I've been thinking about making the change. Some days are really hard with all the traffic and long lines waiting for everything! I really want to live somewhere thats a little quieter. I know so many native californians who have recently moved and I'm a little jealous. Funny thing is one of my friends moved to Elizabethon,Tn and the other moved to somewhere near Houston, TX. Those must be the popular places now. Anyways Pam, the grass is always greener, etc... I guess.

Congratulations, Ridley. Now I guess I just sit back and wait for your autograph(s) to soar in value, so I can retire.
Hope to catch you and Dave in LA (goes to check appearances page)

Hey inksmudge- Don't come to Houston if you want avoid traffic! But I don't think it's as bad as So Cal. I lived in Memphis from 91-97. Memphis was definitely not my kind of place. We moved to Houston area 9 years ago. Although it is so much better than Memphis,(baseball, food, winter weather) it's still not home. I think Austin is probably the best place in Texas to live. It's less humid! Hey maybe Ridley will come to Texas!

The Giant Leetie Head....um.... let's see if she survives a good ironing.

And maybe I'd better check with the Original Leetie Head to see if she minds.
