Killer View

I leave on book tour Monday morning for Killer View. First stop, St. Louis. Here's an early review.
Preparations continue for China... as the clock ticks down.
I hope to see you while out on tour.
If you want personalized or autographed books, contact The Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale which is near the end of my tour.
This Monday, July 14th, I will be hosting a week long chat on Barnes and Noble. I hope you'll join me.
Enjoy the KILLER VIEW.

Ridley--

Great news about China! You aren't going to be coming back in September and october for those book tours, are you? I would think your commitments in your new teaching position would change those plans. Again, congratulations on this wonderful experience for your entire family

Just finished "Killer View" about an hour ago. A very good read indeed (I'm a big Walt Fleming fan), and the Kira/Tyler arc was well-done...

...right up to the part where it just vanished. I think that one is a dangling thread. Brilliantly woven, but left unfinished.

Yes, I will return in October for the Science Fair tour and I will be promoting Kingdom Keepers 2 at the same time.

Ridley--

Great! Anywhere in the LA/ So Cal areas? (Yes, I'm willing to take off work. There are Christmas gifts to consider) Also, are you going to be at La Jolla in February for Peter and the Starcatchers at the Playhouse?

I have Killer View, but I'm waiting until Saturday. I'll be at the BBQ all day, so I need something to do as the tri-tip smokes

Just finished "Killer View." Great book, BUT: pages 321,322 & 323 bothered me.

"AKs...customized...to be single shot and full automatic; they weren't rigged as semiautomatics." What? From the factory they are full automatic or semi.

"Another quick burst of semiautomatic fire." Sorry, no such thing.

Page 323: "He squeezed off a semiautomatic burst - three rounds..."

This is exactly what the (ignorant) gun-hating liberals just love to hear & perpetuate: "Bursts of semiautomatic fire." No way!

Also, page 324; "three pops....Forty-five Magnum." Arggh!

How can these slip by your proofreaders in an otherwise great book?

Killer View was really fun to read. Thank you for writing such highly satisfying and entertaining books. I've read every one of them. In "Killer View", I had to chuckle when on page 304, Akers "...watch face had lost its luminescence." What watch face? On page 217, "Coats had stripped him of his watch." I figured he kept a second watch in an ankle holster.
